(Adopted April 11/09)
Levi
Shih Tzu mix
Male/neutered/shots current
17 lbs (but tall)
7-8 years old
Levi is a very lucky boy. A transporter from CA saw him at a high-kill shelter with the dogs that were due to lose their lives and decided he liked the looks of him so he grabbed Levi to fill the extra crate he had thrown into the transport van. Unfortunately when he got Levi up to OR and WA none of the rescues or shelters were willing to take him. Furbaby Rescue got the call and agreed to take this boy in.
Levi
has turned into an awesome dog. Very unique looking with his cute Shih Tzu face,
very long legs and soft fur, and he loves his people. Loves to cuddle up next to
you on couch or bed; Loves to go for car rides and to protect his car from
strangers; Loves to play chase through the house especially chasing laser lights
like a cat. He is house trained; does OK on the leash; and gets along well with
other dogs. Levi does not like young kids so Adult home only no kids (older
teens OK)
Levi has a wonderful new
home, with a young gentleman, who takes him to work and loves his company.
Residing in Tacoma, WA

Ellis (nka Angus)
Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise
Male/neutered/shots current
15 months old
12 lbs
Except for needing more one on one for housetraining, this is about the most
perfect lil boy. He loves toys, men, women, children, dogs..he is kind,
lighthearted, inquisitive, and endearing...
Fabulous home for this boy, now residing in North Vancouver, B.C. Canada

(Adopted April 19/09)
Marley
Male/neutered/shots current
14 lbs
5 years old
*Marley passed from congestive heart
failure July 14/18*
This lil boy is going to be so cute, once he gets his lil beard and ears
back. Marley is such a sweet boy. When he first entered my house he
was unsure and afraid. It only took him one day, to calm and show his
wonderful lil self. He likes to play with other dogs. Loves his
squeaky toys. He will follow you everywhere, and lay by your feet.
He is a calm, endearing lil fellow.
He will not do well with children, they make him uneasy. He would love an
adult home only, and someone who would adore doting on him. He will become
your ever lasting true friend.
Great home for a special boy, now residing in Lakewood, WA

(Adopted May 6/09)
Nikko
Male/neutered/shots current
2 years old
11 lbs
*lil Nikko passed to the bridge Dec.2/17*
Oh my goodness, do you want a TOTAL lapbaby, follows you everywhere, holds on to
every word you say, is sweet, loving, bonds to you like cement. Well look
no further. This lovely lil boy likes other dogs (similar size) will play
with them, likes toys, chews, his crate and bonus he is housetrained. This
boy will love you to bits. Sometimes he can be a bit shy when he first
meets you, but take him home, and he will be forever yours.
Nikko had a rough time lately, in March his eye popped out (proptosis)
thankfully it was put back in, and it has been a success. As his eye was
healing, a stitch scratched the eye, causing an ulcer, and he needed
drops. Nikko is a loving boy, but this was too much for him, and he
squirmed, never once trying to bite, just upset. The wonderful vets at
Lakemont, took fantastic care of him. Once his eye was healed, the vet
preformed a lateral canthoplasty (made the eyelids smaller) to decrease the possibility
of this happening again. Once he was well, he came into our rescue, where
he was taken to the eye specialist...and as she said what a LUCKY lil boy, his
eyes are doing fantastic. His stitches were removed April 23..he still
tends to want to rub his eyes, so when he is unattended he still sports a
cone. Hopefully the itchy feeling will subside soon.
After the loss of his one special boy Mikey, this
gentleman knew Nikko (Nicky) needed to join his home and heart, happily residing
on Fox Island, WA

(Adopted May 22/09)

Emma and Tinkerbell
Females/spayed/shots current
5 years old
14 & 12 lbs
*sweet Emma passed away Sept/16*
Our names are Emma and
Tinker. We are the sweetest girls, very cute and love each other very much.
Some of our favorite things are walks, romping in the woods, chasing and playing
with each other, and treats.
Someone left us in a shelter and luckily Furbaby Rescue found us. We are on
thyroid and dry eye medicine and an allergy diet. Our skin and fur is getting
better.
Emma is stubborn and serious and likes to follow her foster mom and dad around.
Tinker is the free spirit who loves to cuddle and run around the yard.
Whoever brings these girls into their life, will rejoice at the joy they will
give you. These girls will ONLY be adopted together.
Absolutely wonderful home for these lil girls, now residing in Port Angeles, WA

(Adopted June 13/09)
Wiggles (aka Ju-Li)
Female/spayed/shots current
12 months old
15 lbs
Lil Ms Wiggles definitely has a mind of her own, and she loves to share it with
you. She adores foster Daddy, and loves Foster Mommy. Does great
with the resident dogs. She is extremely affectionate, and will cuddle
deep into your arms. Housetraining is good with the exception of a couple
of mistakes. She rides wonderfully in the car, but she is always crated,
and you don't even know she is there, perhaps she is sleeping or happily chewing
on a chew. She needs more work on a leash, as she does pull, and likes to
lead.
She was pretty much of a mess when she arrived, and had to be mostly shaved
down. She is NOT fond of the groomers, it seems the clippers are her
enemy, but does quite well if you just scissor her. She will need a
groomer willing to work with this girl.
She will do best in an Adult home only. Come and meet this
sweetheart. She listens very well and is a very bright lil girl.
Ju-li got a very kind and compassionate home, with two wonderful parents, and
Min Pin (Sarah) to play with, now residing in Battle Ground, WA

(Adopted June 21/09)
Tootsie and Shasta
Females/spayed/shots current
Tootsie 4 years & Shasta 3 years old
9 & 8 lbs
This is a Mother and Daughter team, and they MUST stay together. The girls
can be somewhat shy in the beginning, but give them a little bit of time, and
you will see them zooming around the house playing, love toys, each other,
chewing on hooves, do excellent with the resident dogs. When you come home after
a long day, you are greeted with the ST happy dance.
Tootsie has figured out the dog door, Shasta not quite yet. Foster Mom
says she is not having trouble with housetraining...they are sweet, adorable,
and very unusual coloring. Tootsie has the coloring of a
Weimaraner, and Shasta a
gorgeous red...beautiful tiny girls
Thank you Brenda and Joe, for giving these girls a life to finally enjoy.
