(Adopted Oct./03)
LuLu
is about 8 years of age and is a BIG girl. She is a Shih Tzu cross of some sort,
but we are not sure what the OTHER side of the mixture is! LuLu was over 40
pounds in weight when she first came into rescue. She has lost some of that
extra weight, but another 8 pounds off would be ideal for her health. LuLu is
housebroken and walks well on a leash. She lives well with other small dogs and
has been around cats, but she can be somewhat protective of her food and treats
with both dogs and humans on occassion.

Duffey & Abbey
Terrier/Shih Tzu mixes
Son & Mother
10 & 11 lbs
These two babies are very bonded, most of the time, you will see them sleeping
and preening each other. They are Mother and Son. They are very very sweet
dogs. They lived their live outside, existing on cat food, which has
caused dry fur. They eat dog food very well now. Duffey was hit by a
car, and damage was done to his rear leg, I had it x-rayed, and there is nothing
that can fix it, he does use it, but tentatively. It does not cause him
any distress now, but when it happened, this poor baby would have been in excruciating
pain, yet the owner never tended to it. Abbey does have low thyroid, and is on
medication for this, it is very inexpensive. She will need timely
retesting, to make sure the dosage is correct. Thyroid meds have no side
effects. Both babies have had full dental, and doing very well. They
just now need to find their forever home, where they will belong and be
loved. These babies found a wonderful home, thanks Linda...spoiled, loved
and pampered in Centralia, WA

Bucky (nka Mickey)
Male/neutered/shots current
4 years old
Mickey passed away unexpectedly in '05 from complications during
surgery..he is so missed.
Bucky is a little bit
different furbaby, who I believe did not get socialized as a pup, and is not
comfortable around a lot of dogs, they scare him, he is not good with kids, he
can be very loving, but he does best in a quiet home, without children, and just
one other dog would be fine.
Mickey got one of the greatest homes, they are doing their absolute best to help
this boy overcome his fears. Thank you Mike and Christy, for providing
such a loving home, residing in Mount Lake Terrace, WA

(Adopted Nov. 9/03)
Sheba
Female/spayed/shots current
8 years old
*with sadness, Sheba passed away Summer/08 from
cancer*
This poor little imp went in for spaying and dental and found her liver enzymes
were very high, she spent one week at the vets on IV fluids and antiobiotics,
thankfully the values came down drastically and were able to finally spay
etc. She continues on antibiotics for two weeks, and will need a
recheck. She is a sweet little girl, who takes about a week to warm up,
she is a delight, once you get to know the real her, but warning she is a food beggar, in her former life she lived with a nice older couple, who both passed
away, and they spoiled her a little too much.
Sheba got a very special family, who adopted Rocco a few
years ago. I know they will spoil her as they spoil all furbabies.
Happily residing in Poulsbo, WA

"Sweet Gizzie passed away from uncontrollable seizures on Dec./04, his
sweet quiet lil presence is so missed by his Mom...safe journey to the
bridge"
Gizmo
Male/neutered/shots current
Once upon a time I had a wonderful life, living with two great people, but my
Mom died of Cancer, and Dad lost everything, his home, and his job...we now
lived in a van, with nothing. I came into rescue because Dad could not
care for me anymore, he released me, with tears flowing freely, first his wife,
and now his friend...I am a shy little boy, I am older, about 10, I just need
another home to dote on me, and make me feel secure again, I deserve another
chance, my Dad does also, and we are now apart, so pray for both of us, to find
another live, and a new beginning...
PS...if I look a tad bit sleepy and out of sorts, this picture was taken right
after I had my dental....
Gizzy has a really special Mom, who now lives with one of my special boys Elton,
happily in Seattle, WA

Spice & DeeDee
Shih Tzu & Papillion
Females/spayed/shots current
Spice is the Shih Tzu ,Dee Dee is a Papillion. Our original names were Diablo
and Spike, coming originally from Puerto Rico...we lived our lives as two
sisters, we love each other, and are so very bonded...and one day, our family
said, "hey, kids are off to college, we don't have time/love/concern
anymore, so lets dump them in the shelter, heck why not, they are after all just
dogs"...yup just dogs, dogs who fill a room with warmth,. Dee Dee who is
full of vigor, dancy, happy, spontaneous, and Spice who melts even the hardest
of hearts...course they have no feelings...just throw them in a cold cell...well
the people at the shelter had a ton of feeling, worried that they would somehow
get separated from each other...so we were called... they lost their family, but
we will not let them lose each other... To meet them, is to love them...DeeDee
will sit on your shoulder, and envelope you in kisses...Spice will sit beside
you, and adore you just for being there...is there anymore anyone could
want...if you want active, Dee Dee will give you that...and Spice will quietly
take care of herself, and wait for you to just sit and be near you...they have
so much love and laughter to share with that perfect home.... Note: Both dogs
arrived completely shaved down. There hair is now beginning to fill back in. In
the not to distant future Dee Dee will once again have her beautiful butterfly
ears and luxurious coat. These babies got a wonderful new home, Mom, Dad and
very nice son...I am sure they are dancing their way into their
hearts...residing in Auburn, WA

Chocolate
Female/spayed/shots current
3 years old
14 lbs
Chocolate is a very shy
girl, but once her shy demeanor is slowly unraveled, what a sweet
endearing dollbaby, she wiggles her body, and her heart to mark her place inside
of you, she looks at you with her big soulful eyes to ask for love, she makes
you want to protect and take care of her...but don't be fooled, because under
all of those endearing qualities, lies a girl who knows what she wants, she
wants to be adored and loved..and that home needs to give this girl a few weeks,
of quiet and understanding, before she will grace you with her
unconditional love. And that home will be so fortunate, I wish I had room in my
home to keep an exceptional girl like her.
This girl, got an exceptional Mom, who's wish was to have a furbaby to share
Christmas with, and she got that wish, residing in Seattle, WA
