(Adopted Mar.29/03)
Bandit
Male/neutered/shots current
1 year old
12 lbs
Bandy did not start his life in a great
home, their way of disciplining was yelling and hitting. As a result Bandit
needs positive reinforcement. Bandit is a very loving, playful and outgoing dog,
he has a few quirks that need work on, with time outs, and never TO HIT...I have
found with appropriate time outs, he responds well, and I have no problems with
him... He is possessive of a
chew, and he needs work on letting you take things away from him...other than
those things he is loving and friendly.. He does like to grab your pant leg, and
tangle himself around your feet when you are walking...all very puppy like
manners, but not advisable for anyone not steady on your feet...as he might trip
you... He shakes his paw and sits on command..I have had little trouble with
housetraining issues, he goes to the door, or uses my dogdoor. He gets along
quite well with most dogs, and plays well with them. He will be a wonderful dog,
for someone who understands, and has a bit of patience so he knows he will never
be hit again. NO CHILDREN
And I also want to thank Kamloops, SPCA, for knowing this dog has a future, and
in the right home, will be a loving and wonderful companion.
Now living with a nice young couple, and their darling ST, Kobe, who are working
on helping him overcome his issues...residing in Redmond, WA
(Adopted April 1/03)
Sadly Sparky passed away in 09 he is truly missed.

Cheyenne is the most
loving, adorable, playful lil girl, she lost her eye in a grooming incident,
which is hard to understand, since she is a dream to groom. Her older
brother Sparky, is a darling character. He would just love to have a
family and a comfy bed to lounge on, while his sister would love to have someone
who would love to play with her.
Adopted together, to a marvelous family, residing in Bellingham, WA

(Adopted April 5/03)
Gizmo
Male neutered/shots current
5 years old
17 lbs
Gizmo is a sweet boy. He is
a little shy and can take a while to warm up but when he does he is a love. He
loves riding in the car, cuddling on laps, pets and especially getting scratched
under his chin.
Gizmo
has had a hard time finding a forever home. He has been in 3 homes plus three
foster homes in his short life and he needs somewhere to unpack his bags and
settle down for life. He does OK with other dogs but tends to hang back away
from the pack and clearly prefers to relate to people. He has lived with kids
and seems to like them but he tends to be snappy when he is startled or scared
so he will not be placed with children.
He does have a bit of an edge to him, so it is best if he went to a home that
will work on this issue, someone who has worked with dogs, and willing to give
the time and patience to help Gizmo back on track. His placement will be
very selective, as he can not afford to be in one more wrong home.
Gizmo is in a very good home now, with a new sister Holly, and I know Carol
will work hard to work with Gizzie to help him unpack his bags...residing in Port Orchard, WA

Whitney
Shih Tzu/Poodle
5 years old?
18 lbs..(14"tall)
Whitney...What
a love bug! What a joy! How could she be discarded to feed on garbage in the
cold, left, unloved, to live or die on her own? Thankfully a big dog rescue
person took her in and cared for her until she could come to our rescue. Though
no dogs were allowed on this person’s bed, Whitney somehow loved her way onto
it! She was too dear to ignore. Whitney IS willing to sleep on a doggy pillow by
your bed, she’d MUCH rather share it, snuggling against you. She knows an
empty lap is a waste, so she gladly fills it, leaning up against your chest,
dreamy eyes and a happy smile. And she does indeed smile!
Whitney has a wonderful home, and they are in awe of this simply charming
girl...happily residing in Seattle, WA
