Chadwyck
Pug/peke mix
Male/neutered/shots current
App. 5 years old
Chadwyck is a slightly shy but very loving boy. His favorite perch is in a chair (hopefully close to his person). He loves to roll around on fluffy clean blankets and to woo for treats. At one time Chadwyck had a family who loved him but some how he lost that home. He was left to live outside in a yard where his only shelter was an old van that he hid under. He was released to a rescue but they felt they could not cope with his needs and took him to a shelter. Luckily the shelter saw the lover in the scared boy cowering in the back of his cage and called Furbaby to take him in.
In foster care Chad has learned to accept pets and come for treats. He has discovered chews and toys. He even plays with the other dogs sometimes instead of hiding from them and me. Chad likes to be approached gently because he is still not sure that a raised hand is only going to pet him. He loves to go for walks but is a little afraid of where a ride is going to take him. Chad knows about going potty outside but forgets sometimes; it has been so long since he had to think about house manners. He gets very excited when Mom comes home and woos happily but he still is the last one to come for petting instead his big eyes watch longingly until it is his turn.
Does
anyone have room and patience enough to give Chadwyck a forever home? This
little boy will reward you with unconditional love and you will get a chance to
see him blossom into the happy dog he once was. Come and be Chadwyck's hero.
Chaddy got his hero, a wonderful lady who understands pekes and will take great
care of him. Residing in Kirkland, WA
(Adopted Feb.10/06)
Boston Terrier/Chihuahua
Female/spayed/shots current
6 months old
App. 7 lbs
Mimi is a darling girl, she absolutely has a mind of her own, much like her
Boston heritage. She is delightful, happy, playful little girl. She
will need more work on housetraining. She would love to have a friend to
play with.
Mimi has super parents, Dad who loved her from the minute she cuddled into his
arms, and Mom took oh just a few more minutes, and Mimi had her under her spell
as well. Residing happily in Kent, WA
(Adopted Feb.11/06)
Roscoe
Yorkshire Terrier
Male/neutered/shots current
App. 5 years old
15 lbs
*Roscoe has gone onto the bridge Feb/12,
he was loved very much*
Roscoe is a very affectionate boy, he can be busy and playful, loves to play tug
of war. Roscoe was adopted for a few months, he was returned because his Mom
became very ill, and was not able to care for him anymore. She returned
him with a broken heart.
Roscoe will do best having a fenced yard, to keep him on the right track for
housetraining.
Roscoe can be possessive of his chews or stuff he should not have, the barter
system works well with him.
Adult home only
Roscoe has a wonderful new Dad and extended family, happily residing in Bellingham, WA
(Adopted Feb.18/06)
Puck ( or affectionately
called Elf)
Long haired Chihuahua
Male/neutered./shots current
App. 3 year old
5 lbs
This dollbaby found a wonderful home with a couple in Bellingham, he was the
constant and loving companion for the Mom, they adored the ground he walked
on. Sadly though only two weeks after his adoption, he managed to
crawl through a tiny opening in the window of the car, as his Mom was just
visiting friends briefly, and he ended up in a yard with Rottweillers, he was
killed instantly. We are all devastated by his death, his family are
beside themselves..we have no words for our sorrow, at least he left this world
being adored, even for such a short time, but more than so many of these babies,
who never know real love...rest in peace darling Elf.
(Adopted Feb.18/06)
Scoobie (nka Toby)
Tibetan Spaniel X
Male/neutered/shots current
App. 3-4 years old
18 lbs
*This sweet boy passed away as
a result of complications from metastatic salivary gland cancer March 7/14*
Scoobie is a sweet little dog. He rides
well in the car, walks well on a leash and loves to sleep in the bed. He is not
much for jumping on your lap but he will jump up on the sofa. He likes to
lay on the floor or a dog bed by himself. He plays with toy s and loves treats
and food!! He is just feeling comfortable and it has been two weeks. He is
a little vocal when he is happy or wants something (he growls and makes some
other strange Scoobie sounds) When he goes to his forever home it might take a
while for his true personality to come out. He is well potty trained; he goes
thru the dog door whenever he has to go. I believe he had an accident or two
when he first came to my house. He gets along well with my other 7 dogs. His
forever home must know Scoobie has seizures and must take 2 Pheno a day. I have
witnessed two seizures and they were mild. The medicine is not expensive. He
must be taken to the vet periodically to check his blood levels. Scoobie is a
wonderful little dog. He is well behaved and fun to have around. Don’t know at
all what this little boy has been through. He needs a loving home.
He found that loving home with a great couple residing in Seattle, WA
(Adopted Feb.24/06)
Kurt Cobain (or K.C.) (nka Dorian)
Male/neutered, shots current
Hmm not sure of his breed possibly Sheltie mix
7 months old (B.D. July/05)
KC is a sweet little boy who
only wants to please and give loves. He is absolutely sweet and gentle and just
a love. We are guessing at his breeds as possibly sheltie and whippet/Italian
greyhound mix. He has long legs, a slight body and stands about 13-14 inches at
the shoulder. He weighs about 12 lbs. He is very dancy and loves to stand up on
his hind legs. This is how he asks for pets and also how he plays.
KC was one of 4 dogs abandoned in an apt when the renter moved out. He is the
only one who survived. How any dog could come out of that experience and be this
sweet is a tribute to the nature of dogs.
KC seems to be house trained, he is good in a crate, loves other dogs but is bit
submissive. KC could go to a home with very gentle older children. He
would be a great walking companion and he will do anything for love.
KC has a wonderful new family, a gorgeous Sheltie to play with, residing in
Seattle, WA
(Adopted Feb. 25/06)

diet) got all my shots updated, as well as getting microchipped. I am a
very loving boy, and my foster Mom cannot wait to see the real me...wait and my
new pictures will be posted once I return from the "beauty shop" boy I
bet I am a doll.

Danny |
Sugar |
(Adopted Feb.26/06)
Pomeranians
Male and Female both altered
Danny 7 lbs, 7 years old
Sugar 6 lbs, 5 years old
Are you looking for stuffed teddy bears, two bookends, that walk, talk and act
alike, meet these darling pair. Sugar is the ringleader, what Sugar wants,
Sugar gets, and Danny agrees...she will grr in Danny's face, and kiss him at the
same time, when Sugar decides to move, Danny moves too...they are like the odd
couple in love.
Both are retired show dogs, Danny won his championship, Sugar only received 4
points, she did not like being in the show ring (probably because she was #1 in
her mind anyway)
They were released to rescue, because the by laws where the owner lived, only
allowed 2 dogs, and she was threatened they would be taken and pts...
Once in our care, they have been spayed and neutered, and VERY extensive dental
was done...resulting in the loss of several teeth.
These babies appear to be paper trained, and will need more one on one to get
them outside, but they are learning. They are not yappy babies either, will bark
when people come to the door, but otherwise are quiet, except Danny likes to
groan for attention. They will only be adopted together.
Danny and Sugar have a great new Mom and Dad, have a gorgeous Shepard mix, who I
am sure Sugar will tell off. Residing in Edmonds, WA
(Adopted Feb.26/06)

Mogi
Japanese Chin

App. 3 years old
11 lbs
What can you say about this sweetheart, except SWEET, SWEET, SWEET...
This boy would love a devoted home to give him lots of attention. Mogi
does have a luxtating shoulder, when my vet examined him, at this time he does
not suggest any treatment..Mogi does just fine, no problems jumping or running..
Adult home only
Determination and dedication, was the motto for Mogi's new parents. I got
a fabulous application, but they lived in California. I told them, I do
not ship dogs, well the next thing I hear is "bring out the welcome
mat" 1.5 days later, and 917 miles, they appeared on my doorstep cuddling
Mogi.

Shih Tzu/Chin sister.

Merlot
Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie)
Male/neutered/shots current
5 years old
Merlot (Mer-loh) is a beautiful boy that, through no fault of his own, is looking for a new home. He is a tri-colored Sheltie, housetrained and is good with other dogs. Merlot has no faults that his foster parents can find. He does tend to prefer women over men, and he needs a fenced yard to run around in and play. He came into Rescue because his parents got divorced and they asked if we could find him a new set of parents that would love him always and keep him forever. Always and forever. That's what Merlot deserves. He really is just a wonderful, personable and fun guy that wants to be somebody's best friend and companion. He'll snuggle with you, sit with you in the chair and cozy up to you at night on the bed! Or, he'll play "fetch" with you, ride with you in the car or let you take him for walks. What more could a person want?
Merlot has a very kind and loving new parents, who just lost their beloved sheltie, and could not stand to be without another. So Merlot will help ease the pain of their loss, and give them back happiness. Residing in Portland, Oregon
