Rudy
Chihuahua
Male/neutered/shots current
15 months
2 lbs 8 oz
Yes, he really is as cute as he looks. Rudy's Story is a sad one, but now
he is with Furbaby Rescue and in his Foster Home, his story will turn into a
happy one. One that will continue for a long, long time with his new
forever family that he is searching for. Rudy's 1st family turned him over
to the Humane Society. What a horrible, frightening day that must have
been for him. Lucky for him the Humane Society called us right away, he
was picked up that same day and taken to his Foster home. He was very
thin, weak and terrified. This little boy deserves nothing but the best
for the rest of his life. This is what Rudy needs in his new forever home:
1.
Rudy needs people who will promise to feed good quality food everyday. His
1st family did NOT and he must have gone to sleep many nights starving and weak
with no food in his little tummy. He was nothing but bones when he came to
us but is slowly gaining weight and strenght. He is a very good eater and
seems to say "Thank-You" with his big beautiful eyes every time he
gets a meal.
2.
Rudy needs a family that will promise to always keep him warm. His 1st
family DID NOT. He was put out into the freezing cold and as a result has
frost bite on his little ears and tail (you can see the results if you look at
his ears in the picture) he has been seen by a Veterinarian for this and is
being treated.
3.
Rudy needs a family without small children. He is SO very tiny and
delicate, and accidents can and do happen. This did happen with his 1st
family and he has some damage to one eye which he is being treated for. In
time this should get better (sight is fine)
4.
Rudy needs a family that will hold him and show him that he will be protected
from all harm. He does like to play and will fetch and bring the toy to
you. He is fine with other dogs but his other dog friends would have to be
close to his own size. He does LOVE people and will make someone the best
buddy you could ever want.
He is using wee pads, so potty training will have to be worked on. So if
you have the right home and heart for a little love bug like this, Rudy say's
that he is willing to try another Family and he knows that in time with the
right people all will be healed and his story will have a happy ending.
Rudy has a great new Mom, living with Skippy/Ralphie in
Richmond, B.C. Canada

Glory
Havanese
Female/spayed/shots current
13 lbs
3-4 years old
One more day, only one more day, and I would not be here to tell my story.
My companion and I were in a high kill shelter in CA, and it was our time to
cross the bridge, for no reason "except no room" Another rescue and
our rescue put our hand up to help us. Unfortunately I do not know what
happened to my friend, I hope he found a home, cause I do not want to think my
mate lost his life.
I am gorgeous, and will really be gorgeous when my fur comes back in, you see I
came in sick with kennel cough, horrible flea dermatitis, but that is all behind
me now..my coat will come back, and I am a happy, spirited lil girl...I like to
play with other dogs, and my favorite dog friend here is an 8 week old puppy..I
love her, you see I was used many times to breed, and I was an awesome Mommy,
but they did take away my babies too early, and I long for my puppies, so I am
taking care of the one here. I did have to fight for food, and never got
enough to eat, so sometimes I can be possessive of it, if another dog is
around...I am getting much better, cause I always have food now, the bowl is
always full, with good fresh water anytime I want...so today I decided I could
share..but that all takes time.
I am doing better with consistency with housetraining, I have learnt the doggie
door, and I am getting used to a new life of luxury.
I am sweet and affectionate, sometimes a bit aloof, but that is my breed, I am a
good lil girl who just wants a safe and loving home...
Wonderful new Mom, for this special girl, and in memory of Keibo,
residing in Surrey, B.C. Canada

Milo
Spaniel mix (possibly with Boston Terrier)
Male/neutered/shots current
18-24 months
Milo is a happy go lucky puppy who loves
his people, playing with his
doggy friends and going places. He takes a few minutes to warm up with
new people but always remembers anyone he has met. Once he accepts you
as his friend you are in with him!
He is an energetic little boy but has fairly good house manners and
seems to be potty trained. He does not get along with cats but would
really like to live in a home with a fenced yard and another doggy
friend. Milo is very bright and learns quickly. He could do well in a
family with older children. And will do best with a family who is
willing to take the time to do some training and socializing so that
this wonderful boy can become the star he was born to be.
Wonderful home was found for this boy, residing in Vancouver, B.C. Canada

George
Maltese X
Male/neutered/shots current
3 years old
7 pounds
George is a little sweetheart who has lived all of his life in a kennel situation. He is a little timid, but he warms up once he gets to know you. He loves to snuggle and be carried everywhere. A basic obedience class would be wonderful for George to help him learn new things and also to help him gain self confidence. He is starting to understand the leash and is in potty training 101. He is crate trained and rides well in the car. George enjoys playing with other dogs similar in size. If you have patience and want to help George continue to learn about the world outside of a kennel, please apply! Due to his tiny size, no small children.
George has a great home, residing in Lynnwood, WA

(Adopted Jan.6/08)
Ziggy
Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua
Male/neutered/shots current
12 months
11 lbs.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Ziggy, I am a great lil buddy...when I first
enter your home, I act "shy" HA...I am not shy, it is just my
"getting used to things act" once I am relaxed, I am a spirited lil
boy. I can get along with some dogs, but I can be a bit of a butt
sometimes with them also, I cop my lil terrier attitude...but I never do that
with people, I ADORE men, and LOVE women..I am snuggly, kissy and happy with my
people. And did I tell you I am SMART, boy oh boy I am SMART....I would be
a great lil guy to take to training, I would show up everyone.
No cats, or children
under 12

Pugsley (nka Georgie)
Puggle (pug/beagle)
Male/neutered/shots current
18-24 months old
30 lbs
Pugsley
is a sweet boy who wants nothing more than to belong. Once he trusts you he will
do anything for you. He does well with other dogs and is friendly with men,
women, and children. He has been obedience trained and crate trained and is
house broken. He loves car rides and exploring in the yard. He loves to go for
walks where in a true Beagle fashion he explores everything with his nose.
Pugsley
was a stray who was never claimed at a high kill shelter. He was looked at to go
to a no kill shelter but because he was shy he was deemed to have failed the
temperament test. This is very hard for us to understand as once he was out of
the shelter he is one of the gentlest most easy-going dogs we have ever met.
Pugsley will need a home where he can get some exercise either in a fenced yard
or with long walks. Other than that he is a very easy dog and true joy to be
around.
Fabulous home, and he has a little boy to pal around with, residing in Vancouver, B.C. Canada

Stevie
Bichon Frise
Male/neutered/shots current
18 months
Was rescued from the puppy mills Sept this 2007
He is scared to death of men and kids.
Stevie is a wonderful dog who has a lot of emotional trauma from being in the puppy mills.
He is the best little cuddlier I have ever seen. When it is just him and I he is such a normal dog as long as we are inside our house or in the back yard and no one else is around.
He wants to be loved and would like to be on your lap every chance he gets. He loves other dogs and does great with them big dogs also . He is learning how to play and run around like a dog should.
He is almost potty trained He sleeps right up next to you at night he is so loyal and would take your being on your lap over food.
He has come along way since in foster care I can now point the camera at him and he does not fear it.
He will come when called and get very excited to see me. He now plays with me when he is in my bed.
He is getting better about going through door ways but sometimes fear get the best of him so I have to shut the door then he will come to me to be carried in.
PS I have spoiled him
lol.
Great home, wonderful people, plus a darling daughter, residing in Bellingham,

(Adopted Jan.13/08)
Romey
Chihuahua
Female/spayed
4 years old
7 lbs
Romey is a sweet and (if you did not notice a little chubby) charming little girl. I am a tinsy bit shy at first but that soon dissipates when I see you might have a treat for me.
I am into the leisurely part of life, but that may change when I get some of this extra weight off! I should be about 5 lbs. 2 lbs too heavy may not seem like a lot to you but when its about 1/3 of your total weight.. ITS A LOT!
I am very loving towards people and am fine with other small dogs but do expect I would need to go thru a Positive Reward Based Training Class as well as learn my house manners.
My previous family did not have anytime for us and gave up on us... I am very eager to learn the rules, its really not my fault no one bothered to tell me what those rules were in the first place!
I like walks but don't particularly walk well on a leash yet! (one of those darn house manners I was talking about!) I will use a pee pad if confined but plan on starting with basic potty training for me.
Right now I do go
potty outside every time I am asked and my foster mom gives me a treat so I
am getting the idea!
* Update from the foster Mom:
She is now potty
trained and can be left without having an accident for about 6
to 8 hours. She is doing much better walking on a leash and really
enjoys her daily walks. She loves to ride in the car and definitely knows
what "go bye bye" means. She is very social and loves people (I
take her to work with me and everyone loves her). She has lost some weight
due to a healthy diet and healthy treats such as cucumbers but mainly due
to daily exercise. Romey's preferred place to be is definitely in your
lap, if there's a lap to sit in she's there! Although she likes other dogs
I think that Romey would be very happy to be the one to get all the
attention or she probably wouldn't mind a dog that wasn't as dominant..
Romey truly is the most easy going dog I have ever met.
Now residing in Snoqualmie, WA with two kind parents, and another lil
spoiled doggie.

Petrie
Pekingese
Male/neutered/shots current
13 lbs
6 years old
“Hi,
my name is Petrie and I am just as loving and outgoing as I am cute. I give hugs
and cuddles; love riding in the car and playing with my soft squeaky ball;
curling up in my favorite chair; leaping and chasing your hand under the covers
in the bed and then settling down to sleep at foot of the bed. I really love
being the center of attention and want to be an only pet. I am house
trained; love all adults; and am ready to move in and be your best friend.”

Toy Poodle
Female/spayed
9-10 years old
Very chubby
Hi, I am Peaches, and I am very sad, you see my Daddy just died, and my Mom is
not well either, so I am now in rescue. I am desperate to regain the love
and devotion I once had. I was very well cared for, and gosh I miss my
family. I have a large vocabulary, not big on commands, like sit, but I
know my toys, and understand when you talk to me. I like to play with my
ball go for walks. I am a sweet older lil gal, but remember us poos live a
long life...especially if you get a few pounds off of me...
Also I will take the leash off the hook, maybe I am telling you "I want to go home now" or just take me for a walk, like my Daddy did.
I hope you will find me, so I can live out the rest of my years bathed in love
again.
A kind a loving home was found for lil Peaches, residing in Bellingham, WA

(Adopted Jan/08)
Hope we can meet soon because I love everybody! I am a sweet and snuggly little guy who was found as stray. Our local animal control picked me up and brought me to the humane society to be safe. No one claimed me so they called those great folks over at Furbaby Rescue to fine me the best home ever.. is that you?
I am good with other dogs and absolutely loved to be held. I have only recently been neutered so everyone is working hard on teaching me the house rules for manners and potty. I am catching on...As all Chihuahua I love sleeping under the covers and blankets, so hope you have room in the bed for me.
I would benefit from a
reward based obedience class so I can learn all I can do be a good boy.
Now residing in a Chi loving home, in Bellingham, WA
